[Leatherwork] Encounter with leatherwork - hand sewing

Once upon a time, when I was living in Tokyo, I wanted to make my own wallet, so I went to Tokyu Hands in Shibuya to get the tools I needed and that was my first step towards leather crafting.

To be able to teach others, to be able to support a family...life is unpredictable.

I started by self-studying. Search textbooks and the internet. .
How many things have you created that I can't show you now?

A while later, I went to see a craftsman I respect (a god-level master) and brought him a handmade leather bag that I couldn't call clean no matter how I tried.

Although it was not a performance worthy of praise,

"Your first work is filled with passion, so you should cherish it."

``I still enjoy creating work with joy.
It takes passion.”

That's what you said. The word "passion" from that moment really resonates in my head. I felt a tremendous amount of passion in the choice of the word "passion" instead of "passion."

After that, you will go to that person's classroom and relearn how to make tools. Every minute and every second was a happy time. I still respect him.

I think the order of first learning by yourself and then learning the correct method suits me.

You will never forget to correct mistakes and know the correct method because you do it consciously.

Currently, I mainly use machine sewing, but I would like to take up hand sewing again when the time is right.
